Curriculum Maps and Learning Journeys

Curriculum Maps provide a brief overview for each subject of the knowledge, skills and understanding students will be expected to know and understand, as their learning progresses through each year and Key Stage at HRCS.

These also provide links to previous and future learning, to support connections and relationships between the knowledge and skills being taught within and across year groups.

Learning Journeys are more student focused providing an overview of the topics, knowledge and skills being taught in each subject and across each year.

These also provide a colour coded reference between previous and future learning to aid the understanding of ‘connectivity’ in learning and aid the transition to long term memory.
